![]() Any shared, hacked, cracked or generator license key will be spotted as invallid by the Synology activation server. From version 7.1-4056 an online activation is required for adding Surveillance Station camera licenses. Synology is continuously providing updates to improve the Surveillance Station software. In other cases, I use the cheapest two-disk - currently DS218j - which takes two drives and comes with two Surveillance Station licenses. In some cases I use my Synology DS to set up a iSCSI NAS and use my Hikvision ivms-4200 running on my monitoring PC and saving to a high-end Synology. Now, after I purchased this one license for an additional camera I find that there is a watermark on the live view of the camera. I had two cameras using the two free licenses that came with that software. Synology has finally granted our wish! I have a Synology NAS that uses their Surveillance Station software. The reason: most P2P entry-level IP Cameras don't come with an HTTP server anymore. For years, users have begged Synology to implement a way to add RTSP URL's. A major improvement in Synology Surveillance Station came in almost unnoticed (at least from me) since the release 7.1-4056. I will NOT share for Armadaxp, Armada38x, Armada375, Armada370, ARMv5, ARMv7, ARMv8, Monaco.
